As an Assistant Technical Designer at Gap Inc., you're a crucial part of the product creation process, helping to bring our brand's vision to life through precise technical specifications. What You'll Do

  • Collaborate respectfully with all team members, including designers, pattern makers, and production partners, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assist in the development of technical packages, including detailed garment specifications, construction details, and grading rules.
  • Review and analyze design sketches and prototypes to identify potential production challenges and offer technical solutions.
  • Participate in fit sessions, providing constructive feedback and documenting fit corrections accurately.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all technical documentation, ensuring information is readily accessible.
  • Support the communication of technical information to overseas vendors and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical design processes and standards.
  • Assist in the evaluation of garment samples for quality, construction, and adherence to specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in garment construction and technical design.
